Hello Alin,

I figured out where a high percentage of people where getting confused… based on the current instructions, people weren’t clear, (me included) that we were supposed download the index.php file from the setup.php file only after running the setup.php file. These revised instructions should clear up any confusion and reduce the number of failed installs. I’ve followed the instructions and have finally completed two installs!

8. If you want to use the new system for campaigns (.htaccess based) upload to your admin directory, these two files: ".htaccess" and "index.php" files. You will find the correct .htaccess file by using your FTP Progam and going to the PLG folder and then clicking on the ‘upload’ folder. Once there, upload the .htaccess file into the admin directory that you created. DO NOT use the .htaccess file located in the PLG folder. Remember, use the one in the upload folder!

PLEASE NOTE: The "index.php" file you need will be generated by the script, but only after you run the setup.php file from you browser (http://www.yourwebsite.com/plg/setup.php). Once you run the setup you will see this:

Upload "index.php" and ".htaccess" on your server in /recommends folder
Click here to get "index.php" file (You will find ".htaccess" in installation kit inside the folder "upload")

You need to click "Click here to get "index.php" file" link from step 3.1 AND SAVE the file on your computer and then upload it to server inside your admin directory. DO NOT use the index.php file in the “plg folder” If you do, you will get an error message and your install WILL NOT be successful.

OLD SYSTEM: When a new campaign is created the script will make a new folder, named as campaign name, inside of admin directory and a index.php file inside the new folder!
NEW SYSTEM: When a new campaign is created the script will not make the folder or index.php file because the redirect will be made using a ".htaccess" file and a single "index.php" file located inside the admin directory!
